Tranquil, beautiful Tobago. CCFP has a hardworking Chapter in Tobago chartered on WONCA World Family Doctor Day in 2014 and spearheaded by a team of 23 plus doctors, led by redoubtable Dr Maxwell Adeyemi. I single out these doctors- Kathleen Sangster-Singh, Stephanie Tam-Fraser, Fidelis Okali and Ayesha Edwards who had the foresight to reach out to Drs. Kyle Hoedebecke, Kim Yu and Victor Ng to host the first meeting of the POLARIS Group-WONCA North America Region Young Doctors outside of North America. We remember it to this day, the lovely and lively group of North and Latin Americans plus our locals and Drs Amber Wheatley (BVI-Wales) and Shakera Carroll (Bahamas) who attended. The Tobago Chapter is famous for its Annual CME Conference held to also commemorate its Charter. They have honored six of their elders ,having this done by no less a person than the President of Trinidad & Tobago. They make a point of including Nurses and other members of the Allied Health professions in all their endeavours and are well received. Dr Fidelis Okali is the present Chairperson of the Chapter. Kudos to all.
